  I spent a year and a half training at this school and I couldn’t recommend it higher to anyone interested in learning or improving at BJJ. A lot of the other reviews on here talk about Professor Carl’s skill and teaching ability (which I agree is top notch), so I’ll mention a few other things I really enjoyed about training here.
  
  Overall, the training environment here is superb. I think every single upper belt I met here (instructors and students both) was super friendly and more than willing to train with and help out less experienced students at all times. The class sizes were typically perfect as well – never too crowded on the mat that training was unmanageable but always with good amount and a good mix of training partners. That was another thing I was really impressed with too – there is a tremendous mix of different skill levels, size, and styles among the students here.
  
  One other thing I thought was great was the schedule. Every class on the schedule is dedicated to either drilling/instruction or sparring so I never had to worry about not getting in enough of either. The fact that classes were split up also meant that if I got out of work late and couldn’t make the first class of the night, I could always show up for the second class rather than miss training altogether.
  
  The bottom line is this is an excellent BJJ academy that I would give the highest recommendation to.
